We invite proposals for chapters of game-based learning by Nova Science Publishers that will stimulate continuing efforts to explore game-based learning, focusing on informal learning as well as on classroom teaching and learning. We are particularly interested in chapters describing theories, strategies and performance outcomes underpinning the improvement of players’ learning using games. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

 

    Recent developments in game-based learning research and theories

    Latest practices and cases of game-based learning in informal and formal settings

    Advances in design and development processes for game-based learning

    Research on how to use games in both informal and formal spaces

    Intergenerational game-based learning

    Game-based learning across cultures

    Current challenges, issues, and barriers to implementing and using game-based learning

    Perceptions and opinions about the use of game-based learning in both informal and formal spaces

    Strategies or approaches on how to improve learning performance or outcomes for game-based learning

    The design, development and application of the learning environment of game-based learning

    Theories, principles and methods of assessment of game-based learning
